Good Morning The Micro Fiction Series: Part 4

Vincent opens his eyes. He is sitting up. He looks around and the whole room is orange. It’s a small, empty room. It has orange walls, orange ceiling and he is sitting on an orange floor. “How did I get here?” And he looks down and realizes that he is wearing an orange jumpsuit. He is confused. Then he thinks about the van and the man wrapped in a blanket. He wonders where HE is and what happened to him.

Everything feels like a dream. He wants to know why he is here. More importantly, what is HERE???!! He stands up and goes to the orange door. There is no handle. He looks out the small window. His eyes get big! He looks away and then looks out the window again.

Good Morning The Micro Fiction Series: Part 3

Vincent opens his eyes. He is lying on his back. He looks up and around and sees that he is in a van. It’s dark in there. There are no windows. And it’s hot! REALLY Hot!!! The van is moving fast and by the way they are bouncing around, he assumes its’ bumpy out there.  He tries to sit up and notices that one of his wrists is handcuffed to a bar along the wall of the van. He manages to sit up and tries to get the handcuffs off but no such luck. And the bumpy road is making it hard to keep steady. He looks down and sees that he is still in his underwear. Then a big bump happens, he is lifted off the floor of the van and lands on something lumpy in another part of the dark van. He gets off and looks down and it’s another man but wrapped in a blanket.

Good Morning The Micro Fiction Series: Part 2

Vincent is being dragged by his arms down his long hallway in his house. He just woke up seconds before so he was still a little groggy. He was still in his underwear. He looked up at the two men, who were masked, and wondered what was going on. They are moving fast. The front door is quickly approaching. He wants to stop them but can’t.

“Why can’t I stop them?” He is thinking to himself as they continue to drag him down the hall. He hears the men suddenly speak. It’s a language he can’t decipher. They reach the door. One of the masked men uses the hand that isn’t on Vincent to open the door. The door opens wide. It’s completely red outside and the light blinds Vincent.

A Flash Fiction/Micro Fiction Story

Hi! I’m James Lott Jr, the head of Blakhope Productions and from time to time I will be sharing samples of my work. I am working on a book collection of Flash/Micro Fiction Stories. Basically VERY short stories. I just discovered this arena last year and I love it! I am going to share one with you today. It’s an exclusive for just this site.  I hope you enjoy and please give me feedback if you like!

Sheila Sheila!

Sheila walked in. She couldn’t believe her eyes! It was her! Standing right in front of her was her daughter and granddaughter. granddaughter?! Sheila couldn’t believe that she would be saying that at this age in her life. The daughter was nervous. They hadn’t seen each other in 3 years! “Where have you been?” Sheila asked. The daughter responded, “Far away but I knew it was time to come home.” Tears started streaming down Sheila’s face.Tears began to run down her daughters face. The baby lay quiet in her arms.Mother and daughter come to each other and hug and cry. They hug for a few minutes. Then Sheila looks down at her new granddaughter but she’s gone. Sheila looks up at her daughter and she slowly disappears.

“Mom….mom….MOM!” a male voice yells out to her. Sheila turns around and a tall, young male is standing there. “Mom, you didn’t hear me calling for you?” “Sorry I didn’t.” “I’m ready to go” he says impatiently. “I’ll meet you downstairs” she tells him as she wipes her face. He turns and goes downstairs. She walks over to the mirror and looks at herself. “Sheila.” a female voice says behind her. “Sheila!” Sheila turns around, it’s a funeral director. Sheila is in a funeral home The director and her male assistant (who look like her daughter and son) are standing there each with a small urn in their hands. The director says, ” I know this is hard day for you, today is the day we honor the death of your baby twins. We want to do your baby boy and baby girl justice.” Sheila looks and a teardrop falls down her face.
